These are the people that manage our operations, engage with our customers, capture our memories, and make sure that every bottle of Pebble Rock Cellars wine is beautiful and delicious.
Robert Nida, Co-founder & Winemaker
Robert entered the wine industry in 2007 as a winery intern in the Texas Hill Country. In 2008, after completing his Bachelor of Science in Horticulture at Texas A&M University, Robert enrolled in the Vinifera Euromaster program. He spent the next two years in France and Spain earning his Master of Science in Viticulture and Enology.
After receiving his master’s degree, Robert worked in the South Africa, Oregon, and California wine industries. In 2016, he co-founded Vine to Vino Consulting with his wife, Lydia, and began to provide winemaking consulting services throughout Texas.
In 2018, Robert and Lydia established Pebble Rock Cellars to showcase their unique wines and provide a future place for promising winemakers to produce their wines in the Texas Hill Country.

Lydia Nida, Co-founder
Lydia attended Texas A&M University and obtained her Bachelor of Science in Entomology and Horticulture. Immediately following her undergraduate studies, she pursued her Master of Science in Viticulture & Enology from Fresno State University in California.
In 2012, Lydia began her viticulture career as a vineyard manager in the Texas Hill Country. She started consulting for vineyards throughout Texas, which led her to co-found Vine to Vino Consulting in 2016 with her husband, Robert.
In 2018, Robert and Lydia established Pebble Rock Cellars to showcase their unique wines and provide a future place for promising winemakers to produce their wines in the Texas Hill Country.

Mary Lee, Artist
Mary Lee is a retired 911 dispatcher from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department. She started painting as a tole painter by taking a
few classes, but she is mostly self-taught.
When Mary moved to Fredericksburg in 2012, she changed to oil painting, attending courses at Fredericksburg Art Guild. Her current paintings are on display there, including her winning painting in the Black and White challenge (visible in the picture above).
Mary created the oil paintings of the Fordite and Rhodonite found on our dessert and rosé wine labels.

Sabrina Markowitz, Artist
Colorado-based artist, Sabrina Markowitz, has been fascinated by the beauty and variety of patterns found in nature. In 2009, she began her career as a Printmaker and has since expanded into other mediums such as painting and sculpture. You can find more of Sabrina’s work on her Etsy page, Basil & Carrot.
Sabrina created the sketch of the Petoskey rock found on our red and white wine labels.
